Your scan will be carried out by an experienced
Consultant Radiologist Dr WJ Walker MBBS, F.R.C.R, F.F.R. You
will be told any positive findings at the end of the session and
advised by the Consultant on the future management of your case.
Dr. Walker as an experienced radiologist can advise on the importance
of the findings and any further diagnostic tests and treatment
options that are required, for example, he has considerable experience
in MRI and CT scanning and this is also available at the screening
centre. |

A Radiologist is a doctor who
specializes in diagnostics, CT scanning, MRI scanning, ultrasound,
mammography etc. He may also super-specialise in Interventional
Radiology in which surgery is replaced by minimally invasive radiological
procedures. |

Dr Walker who
performs the scans is a Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional
Radiologist with an international reputation in his field. Qualifying
as a Doctor from the Middlesex Hospital he completed his higher
specialised training in 1979 and has worked as an NHS Consultant
at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford since 1981.
Dr Walker also practices at the London Clinic, Ashstead Hospital
and the Guildford Nuffield Hospital. Dr Walker has been performing
ultrasound examinations since 1973.
